The "Giving Back Program" initiated by the Executive Director of the Nigeria Physiotherapy Network, Dr. Emmanuel B. John has successfully shipped two batches of physical therapy text-books and equipment to the new Physiotherapy Program at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Nnewi, Anambra State Nigeria. This pilot program to help support physical therapy programs in Nigeria is just a beginning of efforts by Nigerian trained physical therapists in the diaspora to give back.

In recognition of this effort, the Departmental Library of the Medical Rehabilitation Department at Nnamdi Azikiwe University has been renamed the "Dr. E.B. John's Library".
